In a small town of Lugolole, Mr. Balyegisawa Charles and his wife, Mrs. Nakayaga Mercy, dreamt of making a difference in the lives of children. It was the year 2004 when they bravely decided to embark on their journey by establishing Sharp Children’s Centre Musita, also known as the Land of Hope.
Starting out was tough. They rented small rooms that could only accommodate nursery up to primary three students. Despite their limited resources and space, they were determined to provide quality education to as many children as possible.
However, they soon realized that their small town lacked good schools with necessary facilities, leaving many children unable to attend school. Fueled by their passion for education and their desire to make a difference, Mr. Charles and Mrs. Mercy persevered through the challenges.
In 2009, they made a bold move and shifted the school to its current location in Musita. With time, they acquired more land and expanded their facilities. They constructed multiple buildings, acquired school trucks, and even a school bus to transport students.
Their journey was inspired by the sight of numerous children in the area who were unable to access education due to the lack of suitable schools nearby. Determined to change this, Mr. Charles and Mrs. Mercy worked tirelessly to create a nurturing and supportive environment where every child could thrive and receive a quality education.
Through their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to their cause, Sharp Children’s Centre Musita has blossomed into a beacon of hope for the community, providing countless children with the opportunity to learn, grow, and chase their dreams.
